Scaffolding children to blossom

At Blossoming Minds Developmental Therapy, Director Rachel provides evidence and strength-based approaches following a neurodiversity-affirming framework. Rachel is a masters qualified and registered Child Play Therapist and currently in her last semester of a Master of Autism. Rachel is aiming to gain registration as a Developmental Educator (disability specialist) by the end of 2025 to integrate into her current play therapy services.

Rachel is passionate about working holistically with families and across the child's natural environments such as home, kindergarten, childcare, school and within the local community. As a mother of two neurodivergent children, Rachel has lived experience supporting and advocating for inclusion both personally and professionally.

Blossoming Minds Developmental Therapy recently celebrated 3 years supporting families across the Geelong and Golden Plains regions. We are currently operating in clinic and as a mobile / outreach service.

Who do we support?

At Blossoming Minds Developmental Therapy we support children aged between 1-12 years.

  • Children presenting with developmental and play delays, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, social challenges, low self-esteem and medical trauma.

  • Children who are non or minimally verbal, non-speaking, deaf, hearing impaired or experiencing situational mutism.

  • Neurodivergent children, we currently work with many autistic, ADHD, PDA, and gifted children and their families.
